At the start of 2020, I was not running well. My pace was getting slower and I was getting injured frequently enough that I was concerned that I would have to stop running. Having raced seriously since high school and with running being such a big part of my life this was most troubling. I reached out to Verity to help me train smarter and stop hurting myself. Verity has been fantastic. She has written training plans that work with my busy work schedule and physically demanding job to ensure I’m able to get the miles in and get results safely and without injury. Verity also makes herself VERY available to answer questions regarding everything from ideal pace to correct footwear selection. She also is able to quickly change training plans depending on work schedule changes and changes in race plans. As a result of working with Verity, I am again running fast and long with no injury and regularly making Strava leaderboards. I highly recommend Verity’s coaching to anybody who wants to be able to run fast without injury again or simply wants to get faster.

I love racing and training in Thirty Birds. Unlike so many endurance brands, the designs of Thirty Birds athletic and casual apparel are not only unique and fun, but also make me feel strong, confidant and fast. I never have to think twice about the fit or performance of my gear, because it functions like a second skin.
But for me, Thirty Birds is more than just high performance and quality athletic wear. Thirty Birds represents an opportunity for every woman to realize her dreams, her goals, to push beyond the barriers that have historically characterized the landscape of endurance women’s competition and FLY.
My journey as a triathlete and endurance runner has undoubtedly been elevated because Thirty Birds took a chance on me, Believed in me, and helped me learn to fly.

The year I turned 50 I qualified to run the Boston Marathon. As a predominantly recreational distance runner of over 30 years I grew up following Joan Benoit Samuelson and Grete Waitz. I knew that Boston was special and I wanted my experience to be nothing less. A friend of mine used Verity as a running coach to help her qualify for Boston, she did, and her results were quite amazing. So for Christmas, Santa gave me exactly what I was asking for, a running coach, Verity Breen. It was a tough winter to train for Boston in Pittsburgh but I didn’t miss a training run. My workouts were well planned and challenged me as a runner in many ways. I anxiously looked forward to receiving my training plans via e-mail every Sunday. Any questions I had or reservations that I felt were quickly addressed by Verity and always included her Aussie humor. She pushed me harder and longer than I thought I could ever run. She gave me the confidence I needed in myself to run a successful Boston Marathon. I actually re-qualified for Boston in Boston. I highly recommend Verity as a running coach and I look forward to using her services again in the not too distant future. Susan Antle, satisfied customer.

"When I decided to register for my first marathon, I thought I was crazy because I never considered myself as a "long" distance runner. I had no idea what I was in for training for a marathon, or what I needed to do. My friend and co worker Deb Doyle introduced me to Breen Running after she was coached by Verity for her first marathon, and had a such a fabulous race. I was so excited to be coached for my first marathon and it was an amazing four month experience. I've learned so much as runner and accomplished many distances, I never thought I would be able to. This was an experience I would never forget, and was a great feeling having such a motivating and inspiring coach through all the training!" J Haffner

I could not have asked for a better coaching relationship!
From the beginning I felt Verity wanted to make sure that she understood me as not only a runner, but as a mom, wife and small business owner. Each weeks workout schedule made it super easy for me to plan out my week of training and all of my other obligations without any aspect suffering.
I absolutely feel that Verity took my training as seriously as I did and was deeply invested in my success. Any time I had questions or workout feedback she responded quickly and thoroughly. Which is saying a lot as I had a lot of questions as I trained for my first marathon in years!
As it had been so long since I had raced Verity helped me formulate goals and put together a plan that gave me the fitness and confidence to reach them!
I was able to successfully train for a marathon, stay injury free ( which was huge for me!) and reach my goal of a Boston qualifying time that allowed me to register on the first day!
Honestly, I don't think I could have done this without her support, training knowledge and her truly genuine desire to see me succeed!! Thanks V, you've done more for me than you know!!
