MARIN ULTRA CHALLENGE. Otherwise known as MUC. 3/11/2023

The MUC, is a 50 mile endurance race on trail, in the sensationally beautiful Marin Headlands.  Be prepared, arrive relatively fit, stay balanced, pace it out, there is a pretty killer climb back out of Stinson Beach so save some pennies.

I wanted a fitness hit here.  Bump up the fitness, harden up the shoulders with my backpack and water bladder etc.  Dial in nutrition every 45 mins, and keep in a flow state, no doddering about.

It all worked out.  10:50:10, 4th female.

This course is challenging, and relentless, a deal of vert and some solid climbs.

The views are epic, the aid stations on point, the company of other runners lovely.

Came across an overseas entrant that did not speak much english, laid out on the ground after a hard fall, left him to his own devices after making sure he could walk, and nothing broken.

Phew.
